Our guided distillery tours take you into The Stillhouse — the actual working distillery at Wyndales Mill in Biggar, where every bottle of Biggar Gin is made. You'll see the copper pot stills, understand how we work, taste the spirits properly, and leave knowing considerably more about craft gin than when you arrived.
Overview
You'll be welcomed with a perfect serve of one of our spirits — the right glass, the right garnish, the way it's meant to be drunk. A good start.
We'll then walk you through the full production process, from botanical selection and recipe development through to distillation, cut points, and bottling. You'll see both copper pot stills in operation and understand exactly why every production decision we make affects what ends up in the bottle.
We cover the history of The Stillhouse, the philosophy behind the Biggar Mentality, and the story behind our awards — including the 98/100 at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.
The tour finishes with a proper tasting of three core spirits from the Biggar range, plus one of our experimental recipes — whatever we're developing at the time. This is one of the best parts: you'll taste a spirit that isn't available to buy anywhere.
